I grew up a little differently than most…

Our home was in a little clearing inside 20 acres of forest, surrounded by organic gardens and compost piles. My mom raised four kids cooking everything from complete scratch. And my dad created natural foods companies, leaning on us kids to be his testers for carob soymilks and vegetable infused fruit juices.

Field to table was the way we lived. It was awesome.

But it was also hard to keep up once I became an adult.

With a career of my own, a family and all of the stresses you’re dealing with too, I struggled to stay as healthy as I had been growing up.

Meanwhile, I was going on TV sharing recipes, wellness tips, and trying to inspire others to live a healthier life. I was teaching about Fresh Living but secretly I was struggling and stumbling.

And then I made some discoveries that I’d love to share with you.

 

I discovered that breathing while eating actually helps you digest. I discovered that getting up earlier to make time for quiet before the family wakes makes a massive difference in a day. I learned which foods negatively effect me and which events trigger negative emotions; and then I learned how to avoid them.
