Check it out! A new endangered species collection of tees from Revenge Is… are eco-friendly and super soft (made of RPET and organic cotton), and a portion of the proceeds are donated to wildlife foundations!
Revenge Is... LA’s activist fashion brand, introduces its latest challenge — to make a difference by wearing its Endangered Species line of fashionably cut T-shirts. This new line for fall release was created to help all of us to be more aware, to raise awareness and to take action to thwart the breathtaking cascade of species whose populations are plummeting toward extinction before our eyes. A significant percentage of the sale of these shirts will go to support leading institutions and organizations on the leading edge of species and habitat preservation and conservation.
As is the case with all of the lines created by Revenge Is…, there is an important call to action designed to inspire activism, education and participation in the important social and environmental issues of our time.
Case in point: 2022 is not only the scientific community’s best case scenario date for the impending extinction of the Bengal Tiger, but profoundly the next year of the tiger in the Chinese calendar. Scientists estimate that by 2022, the Bengal Tiger will have become extinct without progressive measures to protect these creatures today. In the early 1900's approximately 100,000 Bengal Tigers roamed freely across Asia. Compare that to the estimated 3,200 tigers that exist in sanctuaries today. Their population is dwindling at a rapid pace, and the Bengal Tiger is just one of the more visible of the tens of thousands of animal, plant, insect and reptile species on the brinks of extinction.
The Revenge Is… Endangered Species line features eight of the most humanly connected poster-species including the Giant Panda, Slender Horned Gazelle, Bengal Tiger, Snow Leopard, Red Wolf, California Condor, Grevy Zebra and the African Elephant.
Thought provoking words accompany local LA artist renderings of each animal like: “My Skin is My Sin” (snow Leopard), "If You Love Us Save Us" (Giant Panda), "Endangered Now Extinct Tomorrow" (Slender Horned Gazelle), "349 Left and Counting" (California Condor) and "Fading Away" (Red Wolf).
I’ve been rockin’ the Snow Leopard long-sleeve T as of late and loving it!!!
T’s are available in black or white and in long sleeve, short sleeve, v-neck or scoop neck styles. They are cut from a soft, blended fabric of organic cotton and recycled plastic bottles (RPET) using only water based inks. The Ts were designed and manufactured in Los Angeles.
